Best areas
Most areas of the lakes are fishing well. However,do not spend too much time in one spot if you do not get a response, keep on the move until you find the fish.

Summary of Fishing
The lakes are in tip top condition at the moment with exceptional water clarity. Plenty of full bags with fish to 3lbs in the bottom lake. Black & Green gold heads and Cats Whiskers on floating lines with long leaders working particularly well. Following recent frosts the top lake has really started to produce some good fish in the 3lb to 6lb range. It’s essential to keep on the move until you find the fish which usually favour the banks that have the wind blowing in to them. The best fish this week was a 16lb rainbow landed by a local angler fishing a natural coloured Minkie on a floating line with a long leader. Fish in both the lakes are in good condition and fighting fit.
