Ray Cramp fishes Heathcote Lakes (UK Fly Fisher)
Every now and again you come across a fishery that ticks all the boxes. Heathcote Lakes comes very close to doing that. The Top Lake - opened to the public in April 2005 – has all the ingredients of a well cared for fishery. Neatly cut grass surrounds the lake, weed is most certainly present in the water but well under control, and surroundings are such that they wouldn’t snag even the worst of backcasts.
