Heathcote Lakes began with the excavation of the first lake (the Bottom Lake) in 1997. It is a 3-acre lake stocking both Rainbow and Brown Trout ranging from 1.5lb to 2.5lb and varies in depth from 10-20 feet.
After a successful 8 years of trout fishing on the Bottom Lake, the owner George Moreton, excavated a second lake (the Top Lake) in 2005. The Top Lake is a larger 4.5-acre lake containing a wider range of Rainbow trout from 2.5lb to double figures. The depth is approximately 15 feet.
